November 5th, 2007 - working on concept album & touring with Symphony X and Epica in 2008!
Hello everyone,
We are officially done touring for "The Scattering Of Ashes". We ended up doing 150 shows and being away for close to 200 days of the year! The whole band did a great job, as it's not always easy being away from home for so long, but I think it's important to do it the old-school way and tour as much as we can. No one can say we're a lazy band!
Our last tour was with Edguy, Light This City and Echoes Of Eternity. It was a big success for us, so we want to thank those bands again. It was cool bonding with all the bands and 'bro-ing down' with them at 4:20. This touring cycle, we also got to tour with Megadeth, Lamb Of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Sanctity, The Smash-Up, Destruction, Hirax, Municipal Waste, The Haunted, Dark Tranquillity, Scar Symmetry, Redemption and the mighty Dream Theater! We ended up doing five full U.S. tours on this cycle, and they all were special to us. Playing with Megadeth and Dream Theater each night was a real dream come true!
Right now we are home in Canada awaiting the cold chill of winter. It is supposed to snow tomorrow, so I'll be in front of my warm computer composing new riffs for the next album. For the first time ever, we will be doing a concept album. Stu and I are working on the lyrics right now. It's always good to keep moving forward and to try new things, and this is something that we have always wanted to do. We have done two songs already, and it's turning out really cool. We'll keep you posted in the future as things start to progress further.
Today EnterTheVault.com have revealed dates for Symphony X' 2008 North American headlining tour with support from Epica and Into Eternity! Check out the April/May dates on our tour page. Tickets will be available exclusively at EnterTheVault.com through November 24th. They will then be available via regular outlets.
Thanks to all our fans for supporting us, and we'll see you again in 2008!

September 11th, 2007 - Into Eternity kicks off Edguy tour; new guitar lesson series posted online
Century Media:
After spending the summer months touring arenas alongside Dream Theater, the Canadian quintet Into Eternity heads back to the clubs tonight for a month-long run as direct support to Edguy, with Echoes of Eternity and Light This City rounding out the bill. This trek marks the group’s fifth and likely final Stateside run in support of their critically acclaimed album, "The Scattering Of Ashes". Be sure to visit www.myspace.com/officialintoeternity for their complete touring itinerary.
Due to popular demand, Tim Roth (guitars, vocals) recently posted several new, amazing guitar lessons on his YouTube page. Check it out at the link below. http://www.youtube.com/user/timrothintoeternity
Roth states: “The Dream Theater tour was a dream come true for us. All of our interludes and progressive parts come from DT, so it was amazing to get to know them. It's a great feeling to meet people that you look up to and they end up being really nice people. I have never seen players that good in my life! The whole tour was a lot of fun and we ended up getting to play in some huge venues.
“We are just about to start the last tour for "The Scattering Of Ashes" campaign with Edguy, Echoes Of Eternity and Light This City. We are direct support to Edguy and toured with them in 2005, so I know the shows will be killer. Now, we have a much bigger fan base and we can't wait to see everybody on the road."
Into Eternity recently shot a stunning conceptual video for the track, “Timeless Winter", with up-and-coming director Don Thompson, and its stunning imagery is sure to help it stand apart from the pack. The video is featured in the group’s new E-Card, which also has all of Roth’s YouTube guitar lessons, in addition to a new photo gallery. August 12th, 2007 - update from the Dream Theater tour
Hello everyone,
Things have been going great on the road. Slowly each night we are gaining some new fans. Thanks to Mike Portnoy for hooking us up with this tour! Redemption is also doing good on this tour and it's cool to see Ray Alder sing every night.
Today Stu decided to wear a new, but wrinkled shirt. We showed James LaBrie the shirt and needless to say Stu changed his shirt...ha! If James says to change, then you do it ha! John even offered me to try his guitars out. All of Dream Theater is a class act.
Hopefully we'll see everybody on the road very soon! Keep it metal!

July 21st, 2007 - ready for the Dream Theater tour!
Hello everybody,
Our drummer Steve flew in from Boston last week so we could start heavy
rehearsals for the Dream Theater Tour. Everything is going well and the set
is going smoothly. I think we will have around 35 minutes for a set, so we
hope everybody will come early, because we are opening this tour!
We also have a couple of new off dates booked, so I hope we'll see
everyone out at those as well. On August 15th the side date is with the band
Daath and August 19th we are playing with Nile. Those should be some
interesting shows. Hopefully we'll be heavy enough for those gigs....ha. We
will see you all very soon on the road.
Keep it metal!

June 8th, 2007 - Dream Theater tour
Hello all!
We have been relaxing back home in Canada for the past 5 weeks since our
last tour. There even has been a little bit of working on new material for a
future record. I just got a small Mbox2 Protools rig, so now I can demo
ideas at home. There are a lot of cool riffs and melodies that we have
planned.
The whole band is ready to hit the road in the 3rd week of July for the
Dream Theater/Redemption/Into Eternity USA Tour! It will be a dream come
true to play some big venues again with one of our biggest influences, Dream
Theater. I never thought the day would come, where we would get to do a full on
tour with the Progressive Metal Gods DT! It will also be cool to see Ray
Alder sing every night with Redemption. Fates Warning was also an big
influence on our sound. Progressive Metal is a big part of Into Eternity.
We'll see everyone very soon on the road. Keep it metal!
I can't believe we are almost done another US tour. There are only 4 shows left for this killer package. We are in Portland tonight, trying to recover from last night. Maurizio from Kataklysm came out in Chicago. Chicago was an amazing gig for us! Denver was a highlight as well. Madison amps brought me my cabinet, so I have a full Madison rig now. Thanks again Andy!! The midwest shows were cool, but Vancouver topped them all I think. It's great to have the Canadian support as well! We met another fan with a cool IE tattoo last night. I'm still blown away when I see that! Jeff and Van (Nevermore) came out in Seattle and we had a few too many drinks with them. They are great guys and it was cool to hang with them again. Nevermore was one of the first really cool bands that we played with back in 2000/2001. They are still one of my all time favorite bands. The guys also brought along Tim Calvert (Nevermore/Forbidden). I was so happy to meet him. Forbidden were an amazing thrash metal band that I really dug growing up. I had Tim tell me road stories all through the evening. Stu would just look over at me and laugh because of my fan boy questions I had for him. I'm sure he was sick of all my questions. Forbidden RULES!
Thanks again to all the bands and crew members that were a part of this tour. There are still 4 shows to go, so we are going to enjoy every day as much as we can. We have one México headlining show April 15th and another headlining show in San Marcos April 17th. From there we head 30 hours back home to Canada. Thanks to all of our great fans that came out and supported our band. You all RULE!!! Hopefully we'll be back on the road in the USA very soon! Keep it metal!

April 4th, 2007 - road update from Sauget 04/03
Hi everyone,
This has been the most successful USA tour that we have ever done. Every night the crowd is insane! Usually they are cheering and screaming before the music even starts. We are going on every night around 8pm. If it's an early show we might be on at 7:45pm.
It's amazing to watch The Haunted, Dark Tranquility and Scar Symmetry every night. Each band is totally different and cool. I think this is a great package for the fans. Last night (Monday) we played for the first time in Kentucky. The fans were killer and we had a great time. Detroit, Grand Rapids, Toronto and West Virgina were also highlights for us on this tour. Philly and Worcester were the two biggest shows of the tour. We had a 30 minute signing in Worcester and a cool guy gave Stu a new Thor's Hammer. It was pretty cool! I can't believe how nice the fans have been to us. All of our touring is now paying off for us and we have friends/fans in every city. It's like playing a hometown show, but every night. I knew someday that this band would finally take off!
In Millvale I got a new guitar head that I'm using every night. It's a killer company called MADISON. Thanks to Andy for hooking me up! It has a killer metal sound.
Today (Tuesday) we are in Sauget and we are looking forward to hang out with everyone tonight. Last night Stu and I hooked up with DT for 7 pitchers of beer at a local pub. It was a rough night. When we got back to our RV, Per from the Haunted was waiting for us for a safety meeting.. ha! This is a tough life on the road! Thanks to Peter (The Haunted) for giving us props every night onstage! I thought that was cool of him.
keep it metal!

March 21st, 2007 - road update from Atlanta!
Hello everyone,
It feels great to be back on the road. Now we are rolling in our new RV, so we have a home on wheels. We did a quick 4 shows on the way down to start the tour. Winnipeg was killer, but it was -20 out! In St. Paul we played with a cool King Diamond cover band. The promoter Nathan owned a movie theater, so he set up a private viewing of the movie "300". It was the first time that ever happened! After 2 more killer shows in Milwaukee and Nashville, we headed to warm Florida. Orlando and St. Petersburg were both great cities. Thank you to the fans who brought the Canadian flag in St. Pete, maybe next time we can do an encore for you all! It was a great way to start the tour. The Haunted and Dark Tranquility are both killer bands and really nice people. I think this is going to be a really amazing tour for us! Tonight is Atlanta and the shows here always rule! See you all soon. Keep it metal!

February 26th, 2007 - Into Eternity shoot new video; prepare for the Metal For The Masses tour
Century Media: Into Eternity are currently gearing up for the inaugural Metal For The Masses tour, which will be co-headlined by Swedish titans The Haunted and Dark Tranquillity, with Scar Symmetry rounding out the stellar bill. The month-long trek kicks off on March 19th and marks the group's second U.S. run with new members Steve Bolognese (ex-Beyond The Embrace) on drums and Justin Bender on guitars.
Into Eternity just shot a new conceptual video for the track, "Timeless Winter", with up-and-coming director Don Thompson, and it's stunning imagery is sure to help it stand apart from the pack. Expect a spring premiere.
Tim Roth (guitars, vocals) checks in with the following report: "We are back to the snow and cold in our hometown again. The Destruction tour just ended in LA and the weather was perfect, so it was hard to leave. Thanks again to Schmier and Destruction for the friendship and overall great time! Also, we would like to send a huge thank you to all of our fans who came and supported the tour and drove hundreds of miles to see us. You all rule!
"Even though the tour ended in LA, our work was not yet over. We spent the whole next day shooting our new video for "Timeless Winter", and we ended up filming over seven hours of performance footage, along with a few hours for the conceptual segments. There was snow everywhere by the end of the shoot. Steve's drums had an inch on them by the time we were done. It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to see the final product.
"Now the band will be taking a week off before heading back to our jam spot to get ready for the Metal For The Masses tour. This will be the metal tour to see this year, without a doubt. This will also mark the second tour with our new members Steve and Justin who proved just how talented they are on the Destruction tour. This is the tightest Into Eternity lineup yet! We can't wait to see you all on the road."
January 27th, 2007 - Into Eternity debut new video on Headbangers Ball this weekend; on tour now with Destruction

The group kicked off 2007 as direct support to the legendary Destruction, a trek that also marks the addition of new members Steve Bolognese (ex-Beyond The Embrace) on drums and Justin Bender on guitars. This is the group’s second run supporting "The Scattering Of Ashes", and fans can expect a blistering 40+ minute set. Municipal Waste and Hirax will also be joining the package for certain dates.

This is the group’s second run for this album’s touring cycle, and fans can expect a blistering 40+ minute set. Municipal Waste and Hirax will also be joining the package for certain dates; see the tour section for the complete itinerary.
Tim Roth (guitars, vocals) states: “We are pleased to announce our latest tour in support of thrash legends Destruction! I grew up on thrash metal, so it will be amazing to tour with the Destruction guys. It will be our first tour of 2007, and I can't think of a better way to get started. This going to be a high-energy package, and we can't wait to see everyone on the road. Keep it metal!”
December 7th, 2006 - new videos posted online, announce new members
Century Media: Into Eternity will kick off 2007 with a short run of headlining dates
leading them into a major U.S. tour this spring. This trek also marks the
addition of new members, Steve Bolognese (ex-Beyond The Embrace) on drums
and Justin Bender on guitars. Tim Roth (guitars, vocals) states: "We are
really excited to announce Steve and Justin as permanent members. Both will
be hitting the road with us in January. They figured all the music out by
ear, so I didn't have to teach them anything. That just blew me away. Steve
can do rapid-fire double-bass at 240 beats per minute, so the drumming on
the new album won't be a problem for him. Look for us on the road in the
U.S. this spring. See you soon."

September 28th, 2006 - Into Eternity YouTube Guitar Lesson #3 posted!
Century Media:
Currently performing on Megadeth's Gigantour 2006, Canada's technically aggressive metal band Into Eternity, have posted their third YouTube guitar lesson here. The new lesson, a guide to playing the rhythm guitar parts from their new song "Nothing", is as entertaining as it is instructional. The song is taken from their Oct. 3rd release, "The Scattering Of Ashes", which has already been called "a landmark triumph" by Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles. Additionally, listen to Tim talk about the new album, the band's performance, album artwork and more on the downloadable Podcast interview at The Metal Observer here.
Being on the road with Megadeth, this band has had multiple highs and spiraling lows as well. My best friend Dave Stephenson died, out of nowhere of cancer. Today is his funeral and I am away from home and won't be there for him one final last time. For this I am truly sorry! I feel terrible for this. Dave would have been out here with us selling our merch for us. Every night I am dedicating a song to his memory.
The shows have been a dream come true for us. I cannot believe how nice the staff and the other bands have been to us. Having Lamb of God give us props on stage to 7,000 people was a highlight for us. Megadeth has been very good to us. It is great to hang everyday with the Drover brothers. I have total respect for every band on this package. Everybody works hard day in and day out.
We have had a few setbacks on this tour. Our bus broke down in Texas a week ago and we missed 2 shows. I'm sorry to everyone who traveled to us on those dates. We will be back!! Yesterday our session guitar player bailed on us in Toronto, giving us no notice. He WAS a great friend of ours and we are really shocked by this. The road can really scare some people. Who in the hell would leave an arena tour with Megadeth??? The shows have been going on as planned. We are doing all future gigs on this tour without adding a second guitar player. When we get back home, then we can start a new search...again.
Our next Gigantour show is at the Bell Center in Montréal. We hope to see everyone there!!
keep it metal!!

Century Media pressrelease:
Canada's Into Eternity will be filming the video for "Severe Emotional Distress" from their Oct. 3rd release, "The Scattering Of Ashes", when the band hits Los Angeles as part of Megadeth's Gigantour 2006. To be filmed by Kevin Wildt (The Warriors, Set Your Goals), the band are excited to be turning their musical visions into visual reality, guitarist Tim Roth said, "Our hope is to finally get some video play and show new fans what our progressive/death metal style sounds like".
Get ready for school... guitar school that is, the first in an ongoing weekly series, Century Media has posted the first of eight guitar lessons with Into Eternity's guitarist Tim Roth at their YouTube webpage. Choosing a passage from "Timeless Winter", Roth shows you how to play like a six-string super demon. "It was cool to film my riffs and teach them the only way I know how, I'm not a real 'trained' teacher. Hopefully it will be helpful for anyone wanting to learn some of the new album. It was a lot fun creating those videos", commented Roth. Clocking in with supersonic soloing speeds while remaining melodically song-oriented, Roth's playing has been described as "tearing up his guitar neck with clarity and precision" (Guitar One).
Catch Into Eternity live on Megadeth's Gigantour 2006 which kicks off today Sept. 6 in Boise, Idaho. Additional information can be found at the Gigantour website. July 28th, 2006 - Into Eternity selected for Megadeth's Gigantour 2006!
Century Media pressrelease: "INTO ETERNITY are inarguably the decade's most original band." Explicitly Intense
It's official! Canada's progressive metal band Into Eternity will perform on this year's Gigantour. Announced Monday at the Gigantour site, Into Eternity guitarist Tim Roth said of the honor, "we are extremely blown away at the chance to tour with this great festival. When Into Eternity was formed, a tour with Megadeth was always a goal of mine. I didn't actually think 9 years later we would be playing arenas with them. Into Eternity would like to give extra thanks to Megadeth drummer Shawn Drover for going to bat and putting in some good words for us. See you out there!"
Set for release on Oct. 3, "The Scattering Of Ashes", the band's new album, has already been described as "a landmark triumph" by Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles, and more colorfully by vocalist Stu Block as "over the top Metal Madness." Mixed and mastered by Andy Sneap (Killswitch Engage, Arch Enemy) the new album's clear production brings forward their ingenious multi-leveled musical dynamics and fearless experimentation with style and genre. More information about the band, photos, mp3s and album artwork can be found here.
June 20th, 2006 - recording completed!
Hi everyone,
Things are going well these days in the Into Eternity camp. The recording of our 4th album was recently completed at the end of May. Now we are looking forward to Andy Sneap putting all of his talent into mixing the new disc. That will take place around June 23/06. The band is excited for everyone to hear the new material.
Right now Mattias Norén is working on the CD packaging. I've seen the cover and it looks really amazing. Mattias always does a great job. Last week we finished a photo shoot with Cortney Bodnar. The pics turned out well and now it's up to Mattias to bring every thing to life.
We've been listening to a rough mix of the songs that the studio gave us. So far, I think it is a mix between Dead Or Dreaming and Buried In Oblivion. For this album we kept some things a bit more stripped down. Now we won't have 5 vocal harmonies going at once. The band decided that we want to sound more like we do live, so we stuck to 2 part vocal harmonies. It still sounds killer though and I'm sure people will dig the new melodies. Stu did a great job singing on this album. He has 5 different voices that he can change back and forth from. Wait to you hear some of the notes he hits!
That is all for now.....

April 29th, 2006 - Into Eternity talk about East Coast dates, forthcoming recording
Century Media pressrelease:
Canada's technically progressive death metal band, Into Eternity, will head out for three upcoming East Coast dates before recording the follow up to 2004's "Buried In Oblivion". Commenting on the band's upcoming plans, guitarist/vocalist Tim Roth said, "Things are starting back up for us. First up, we will play 3 shows in the U.S. starting with The New England Metal Festival Sunday, April 30. May 1 we are in New York City and May 2 in Springfield, VA, both dates opening for Gamma Ray. Hopefully we will get a chance to say hello to you all at these upcoming dates. As soon as we return to Canada we continue pre-production for album number four. Once again we will be recording in our hometown Regina, Saskatchewan, Canada at Touchwood Studios. We have original drummer Jim Austin with us on the new record and he's has been doing a great job in rehearsals.
There will be one recording change with this album, for the first time we are going to send the album out to be mixed. Andy Sneap (Nevermore, Arch Enemy) will be handling the record's final mix. We are fans of Andy's work and know he is the right man. This final step ensures that this will be our best sounding effort to date."
Calling Buried in Oblivion "a defiantly original work filled with stunning musical virtuosity and truly original ideas," (Revolver) Into Eternity spent 2005 touring North America supporting the release on no fewer than six continent spanning tours. Look for the band to tour extensively in support of the new album late this year.
March 9th, 2006 - Jim's back to play drums on the album!
Hi everyone,
The new album is still underway for us. Right now we are looking at 11 songs for the new album. Each song is a bit more compact compared to what we usually have done in the past. Seven of the songs clock in at just over 3 minutes. I thought it would be different to try to fit in multiple time changes and riffs/solos in a shorter time frame. I know I have a low attention span when it comes to long songs, movies or whatever the case may be, so it is a small change for us. Every song is going to still have a lot going on, so our style will still be intact.
Now on to the main reason for this update. Into Eternity would like to welcome back our original drummer Jim Austin, who will be playing on our new record. Everybody is familiar with Jim's drumming style from our albums "Into Eternity" , "Dead or Dreaming" and "Buried In Oblivion". We are all happy that Jim is willing to help us out with this new record.
Before we get too far ahead of ourselves, we should point out that this arrangement is just for the recording of the album. Jim has a good job now that we wouldn't want him to lose. I think that this will be a good step for us and it will help maintain our sound that we have crafted for almost 10 years now.

February 25th, 2006 - still writing and preparing
Hi everyone!
It's been quite a while since we have had an update. We have all been taking it easy and recharging our batteries. The songwriting is still going on as we speak. I can say it's the first time where we have had more material then we actually need. The new songs are quite challenging and there are a lot of cool musical interludes in every song it seems. Of course there are still heavy riffing, but I think it will be more of a musical sounding album.
Stu Block flies back to Regina at the end of the month and the lyric / vocal melody writing will start up. I know Stu has already started his lyrics and I have as well. We are anxious to get started with that.
Everybody knows that our touring drummer Adam has quit. We were hoping to have him on the album and keep this lineup, but some things are not to be. We wish Adam the best in his future. There have been a lot of drummers sending emails etc. and we thank everybody for the support. Hopefully we will have news soon with what is going on. Our plan is to start practicing in March and hopefully play some shows in April/May. After that the band will head into the studio for album number 4!
November 29, 2005 - back home, preparing for the next CD!
Hi everyone!
It's really nice to take it easy at home. All the guys have been recovering after a year of hard touring. It was an amazing year for our band. There are so many people that we would like to thank for that. Without the fans coming and supporting us, there would be no shows. For that we are very proud of our new fan base. We hope to see you all next year on the road.
All of December we plan on taking off. In the meantime we will be writing our music for the next Into Eternity album, which we plan on recording in early Spring. It will be good to recharge our batteries and live a "normal" life for awhile. The main focus now will be our new record. I know we have the talent now to come up with some great songs. After doing 140 shows, I think the guys are all comfortable with every aspect of the band. The new songs should prove it all we hope.

October 28, 2005 - Opeth/Nevermore tour to end off the year
Hello everyone!
Into Eternity is again on the road for our 7th tour in support of Buried In Oblivion. Thank you to all the people that have been behind this band. We also would like to thank all the cool bands we have met on tour. The support means a lot to us all. The Opeth/Nevermore tour is a great way to end off the year. It will be a great time I'm sure. We will make the most of this opportunity that we have been given. Hopefully we can hang out with all of you soon on the road.

September 4, 2005 - Stratovarius tour coming up
Hi everyone!
We made it home after a 40 hour trip from our last show in the USA. The
Hammerfall/Edguy/Into Eternity tour was a success for us. I think we
converted a few new fans onto our band and that's really what touring is all
about. It is important for us to try and grow our fan base. It was amazing
to meet each and every one of you on the road over this past year. We have
made a lot of life long fans/friends I'm sure.
Next up is our USA/Canada tour with Stratovarius. I think this will be a
cool package for all fans of heavy metal. There will be plenty of clean
vocals, guitar solos and death metal to be heard on these shows. The whole
band is excited to be a part of these events. See you all soon!!
It's vacation time for me (webmaster), so I probably won't update this the next 3 weeks. Keep an eye on our FORUM for news or possible changes in the tourdates etc!!
August 19, 2005 - update from the Hammerfall tour
Hello everyone!!
The Hammerfall/Edguy/Into Eternity tour is rolling along full steam now. We have been astonished by the fans response to our show. They are giving us so much energy to play as hard as we can. It's a great feeling to look out and see 1000 people raising their metal horns!! The Eastern Canadian leg of the tour was sick. I think we made a lot of new fans and we can't wait to get back. The promoters were class acts and treated us well, so we have to thank them.
After our show in Montréal, Rob and I got picked up by J.F. (Kataklysm) and drove to his studio. It was an honor for us to guest on the new Kataklysm record. The band is really good friends with them now, but we have been fans of the band long before the tours together. Rob and I did guest work on a track called "Road to Devastation". I played a guitar solo at the end of the track and Rob did trade off vocals in the chorus of the song. I have to say that their new album will turn a lot of heads. The songs sound really amazing. It was a big deal for us to do our best for the Kataklysm guys. We consider them brothers.
Today (8/18) we play in New York. It is an amazing city and the people are always kind to us here. We hope to see all of our fans supporting us like they always do. The band feels really lucky to be a part of such a great tour. It feels really good to be back playing in the U.S.A. Thanks to Hammerfall and Edguy for having us out with them. They are both great bands and I think this is a good package for the masses to see. Hopefully we can meet everyone on the road!!!

July 24, 2005 - thanks for the support!
Hi everyone!
Sadly our US Tour with Hate Eternal, Krisiun and Incantation is coming to a final close. We have to thank all of YOU for coming out and supporting us on this heavy tour. I know countless people have traveled long distances to see us and we think that is amazing! It is going to be strange not to see these guys every day after these last shows are over. There has been a lot of bonding with each band and we wish them all the best in their future tours. Also thanks to our web mistress for her hard work on the tourdiary section of our webpage. As fast as I can type it, she gets it up.
Next up for Into Eternity is a 10 day rest after our last shows in Florida. Everyone will chill out and take care of business in that time. The Hammerfall/Edguy tour starts in Toronto on August 10th. We cannot wait for the chance to play in front of a different crowd again. This time we will be the heavy band on the bill and that is a switch for us! Hopefully we will see everyone out on the road. Take care....

July 13, 2005 - Into Eternity returning to KNAC this Thursday (14th)!
The guys will be returning to the KNAC studio tomorrow! Tune in at KNAC.com on:
We are in Regina for 1 more day. Our Sunday show in Regina was cancelled by
the promoter. We contacted him for us and Krisiun to play, but he wasn't
interested. Our Edmonton and Calgary shows are also cancelled by a different
promoter, who is a good friend. He couldn't take a risk either with just 2
bands. Hate Eternal have had some van problems, so they have been cancelling
some gigs. That in turn sort of messes up this tour. We are sorry to
everyone who has been traveling to see us. You all RULE!
Our next shows are in Prince George and Vancouver....July 6th and 7th. Then
we head into the USA again to continue the tour. Incantation will meet us in
Seattle for sure! We hope that Hate Eternal will be as well. I'm sure they
will make it and we all have faith.
The tour as of now has us opening again. All Shall Perish have gone home and
they were doing that slot. They might make it to the California dates
though.
I think that's all the news we have now. The tour has been going well for us (see tourdiary!).
Krisiun is sitting in my livingroom right now hanging out, so I better get
back to the lounging.
Thanks to everyone for coming out to our shows. It's great to meet everyone.

June 9, 2005 - Into Eternity, Jag Panzer Conquer Mexico
Century Media pressrelease:
Having performed in over 20 countries across North America and Europe supporting their album "Buried In Oblivion", Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity just added a new country to their resume, Mexico. Guitarist/growler Tim Roth returned from the Monterrey Metal Fest last week with the highest praise: “The festival was a complete success. We went on at 1:35pm on Saturday to thousands of fans. The crowd seemed hungry for metal. "Spiraling Into Depression" went over the best from our set and after the show we met a lot of fans and signed everything that they had.”
Jag Panzer guitarist Mark Briody, whose band headlined the second stage concurred: “I had high expectations for our first appearance in Mexico. I expected a festival attended by hordes of crazed metal fans; my expectations were exceeded, and then exceeded again and again. There were 2 stages and they were a good distance apart, and to watch the whole crowd move from stage to stage was incredible. I noticed something unusual from the stage during the first chorus of the song: I’d see about one-fourth of the crowd singing along. By the next chorus , about half the crowd was singing, and by the end the whole crowd was singing. It was great to see people who were unfamiliar with the song learn it on the spot and participate. Sign me up for any more shows in Mexico. Mexico RULES!”
Into Eternity began their North American tour yesterday with the first of 7 headlining shows:
06/08 QC Live - Davenport, IA
06/09 The Arena - East Dubuque, IL
06/10 Hairy Mary - Des Moines, IA
06/11 Elbo’s - Dayton, OH (Dwell In Darkness Fest w/ Bobaflex, Dog Fashion Disco, All Shall Perish)
06/12 J.J. Kelley’s - Chicago Heights, IL
06/15 Jester’s Pub - Fayetteville, NC
After these dates the band will be touring with Hate Eternal, Krisiun, Incantation, and All Shall Perish (tourpage). Visit the www.KNAC.com webpage here, to enter to win two free tickets to one of the following dates. Into Eternity will also tour North America with Hammerfall and Edguy, and then again with Stratovarius.
May 16, 2005 - Into Eternity preparing to play Mexico, tour with Hate Eternal and Krisiun
Century Media pressrelease:
Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity are preparing to return to the road after their spring North American tour with Amorphis. Lead guitarist / second vocalist Tim Roth addressed the bands recent illnesses, and recent activities: “It’s been a few weeks since we wrapped up our headlining Canadian dates, and everyone is back to good health now. Stu and Adam are back in their respective cities and it’s been a good break before we start our next tour and play Mexico’s Monterrey Metal Fest Vol. II on May 28th."
“We’re really excited to be a part of the Hate Eternal tour, and are planning to stick to our heavier material. Between Krisiun and Hate Eternal, the level of musicianship will be overwhelming, and it’s going to be killer to watch those bands every night. During the break, Rob and I have been working on new songs at his home studio. The material has been flowing and there will be some killer songs coming. They contain our trademark sounds, no worries. On May 20th, the rest of the guys return to Regina for rehearsals. We want to be as tight as we can for the upcoming tours. Hopefully we will see everyone on the road throughout Canada and the USA! Keep it metal!”
Still receiving rave reviews for their album "Buried In Oblivion", Into Eternity will be touring North America throughout the summer and fall, following up the Hate Eternal / Krisiun tour with a month-long tour supporting Finland’s Stratovarius.
April 21, 2005 - México and Ohio festival news
All of us in Into Eternity are extremely blown away to be chosen to play the
main stage of the Monterrey Metal Fest II!. It is our first time playing in México and we get to play at
such a great festival! I think I am more excited to meet all the legendary
bands we are playing along side with. Jag Panzer, Metal Church, Hammerfall
and Motorhead are all class act bands. We plan to make the most of this
opportunity and give 110% onstage!
We are also happy to play Dwell In Darkness II Festival in Dayton, Ohio on June 11th, along with Extol, Incantation, Bobaflex, Dog Fashion Disco and many more (presented by SMNnews.com)!
See you on the there & keep it metal!!

April 11, 2005 - back on the road
It feels great to be back on the road again! All the guys are at 90% feeling good right now, so everyone is happy. The morale is up now that we feel better. There is nothing worse than getting sick on the road.
Last night we ended up going to a karaoke bar here in Calgary on our day off. We all got up and started belting out the hits! It was a fun night. Stu was going off, ripping out "Painkiller" and "Run To The Hills". He was singing certain parts even higher, which I thought was funny as hell. I stuck to the Skid Row songs because I think it brought a tear to the table. Plus Sebastian Bach rules!!
The Winnipeg show was one of the best shows on the tour. It seems like the crowd was hungry for the metal. It's tough touring at this time with all the other tours, but there was a lot of fans still. I don't know why we don't go to Winnipeg more often.
The hometown Regina show was a bit dissapointing for us. A lot of our friends were there though, so that was nice. Everybody seemed to have a good time. I think it will be good to have an all ages show next time. That will happen when we roll through town as part of a package with Hate Eternal. It was cool to see everyone again.
Edmonton rules! That is always the case. It seems like it is becoming the metal Capital of the West. Brian the promoter treated us very well. He is a standup guy. The fans had a circle pit going and were singing along to all the songs. Now it feels like a hometown show when we hit that city.
Tonight is Calgary. We have 2 other bands on the bill again tonight , so it should be a good time. Divinity and Blacksky did well in Edmonton and this show will be the same.
Hopefully we will get to meet everyone out on the road. The sickness is fading, so we are going to come out and kick ass!!
keep it metal!

April 6, 2005 - Into Eternity Return To The Road...
Century Media pressrelease:
Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity resume their Canadian tour today in Winnipeg. Although members of the band are still ailing from prolonged bouts with strep throat and pneumonia, they have vowed to bring their intense live show to dedicated audiences.
Into Eternity was forced to cancel several of their late March appearances supporting Amorphis after guitarist Rob Doherty sought emergency medical treatment in Atlanta. Diagnosed with pneumonia and advised to enter the hospital, the band immediately returned to Canada where Doherty, vocalist Stu Block, and guitarist/vocalist Tim Roth (who played shows with fevers topping 104° F) were all treated for pneumonia. To read Rob’s full account, click here.
Into Eternity are touring in support of their critically acclaimed album "Buried In Oblivion". In addition to their tour with Amorphis, the band will be touring the U.S. this summer with Hate Eternal, Krisiun, Incantation, and All Shall Perish and this fall with power metal masters Stratovarius.
March 27, 2005 - Into Eternity too sick to continue tour
After the Atlanta show on the 25th, where Tim, Troy and Adam played as a three-piece (!), because Stu and Rob were still being treated in the hospital (according to fan-posts on the forum for strep throat), the guys had no other choice but to leave the tour - they are (still) on their way home as we speak. That's all the info I (webmaster Marlies) have right now. Get home safe boys, and get well soon!
March 11, 2005 - Krisiun and Into Eternity added to Hate Eternal tour package
Century Media pressrelease:
Brazilian purveyors of death Krisiun are teaming up with Florida’s Hate Eternal and Century Family bands Into Eternity, Incantation, and All Shall Perish to ravage the U.S. this summer. Drummer Max Kolesne offered his horns up to everyone: “It’s great to be coming back to the U.S., especially touring with our brothers in Hate Eternal and Incantation. This tour is going to devastate! Posers will die and their women will cry when the death metal demons rise.” Krisiun will be supporting their new release Bloodshed, which contains eight new tracks highlighting the kings of hyperspeed’s diversity and musical development. The album also includes four rudimentary corpse-grinding tracks from their rare, cult, underground first release, the Unmerciful Order EP (1993).
Also on the bill is the Canadian progressive death metal band Into Eternity, currently on tour with Amorphis, in support of their 2004 release "Buried In Oblivion". Century Media pressrelease:
Currently on tour with Amorphis in support of their 2004 release "Buried In Oblivion", Canada’s Into Eternity have been added to Stratovarius’ fall tour package. Vocalist/lead guitarist Tim Roth commented, “We are really excited to be touring with Stratovarius and see this as an ideal package. We will be playing in front of a completely new audience, one for which we haven’t had the opportunity to play. All of us have been Stratovarius fans for years. We are fans of Tolkki’s guitar playing, Kotipelto’s voice, and also of Jens Johansson (keyboards) ever since he played with Yngwie Malmsteen. We met Kotipelto at ProgPower USA V last year and we begged him to take Into Eternity on tour, and now it’s a reality.”

March 4, 2005 - on the road in the US!
Hey everyone! We are on the road in the US right now. Things are going better then we expected. The reponses from the fans have been the best part of this trip. Our hometown show kicked off our tour and then we made the long 18 hour drive to Colorado Springs. That show we met our tour mates Beyond The Embrace. They are killer guys and a great 3 guitar band filled with life. The fans seemed happy that we played their town.
Next city on trip was Tempe, Arizona. The drive was another 16 hours, but we did it no problem. This was the first show with Amorphis. Also we met Single Bullet Theory. Both bands are completely different people and bands, but both really cool. This show went so well for us. I think the whole crowd had "Buried In Oblivion" and it was an amazing feeling.
Finally we made it to Los Angeles again. The Key Club is a killer place to play on Sunset Strip. Our label Century Media came out to support us, which was really nice to see. Heather took us out to the Rainbow Bar & Grill for a meal and drinks. The club is totally famous. After that, we did an interview with the famous adult film star Jasmine St.Clair. That was a highlight for sure. The show was killer and I think we pulled it off nicely. Crowds here can be tough, but we pulled it off.
We hope to see everyone on the road soon. Keep it metal!!

For now we still have the same message board where fans can get answers to questions directly from the band or check out the latest Into Eternity guitar tabs. More info will be added shortly. Adam (drums) and Stu (vocals) arrive in Regina in a few weeks to finish rehearsing for our U.S. tour with Amorphis. After the tour wraps up in early April, we will continue on with some Western Canadian dates, to be announced soon.
Our new lineup’s first official gig will be on Feb. 25th in our hometown of Regina, Saskatchewan. It will be held at The State with openers Cessate and Stillseed. Hopefully we will see everyone on the road very soon and thanks for all the support and keep it metal!”

January 9, 2005 - new singer: Stu Block of Omega Crom!
Hello Everyone!
Ok..... We have spent a week jamming as a band again. The rehearsals went VERY well for us. Stu flew in from Vancouver on Monday the 3rd. The very first day Stu had learnt about 11 songs! He actually sang them all and we were surprised by that. By weeks end, he had most of the kinks out and we are sounding pretty tight. Stu has a really great high falsetto voice, which has some Rob Halford influence in it. The high parts on "Buried In Oblivion" are no problem for him and he is nailing all the parts like a pro! Another bonus is his death vocals. Stu has no problem hitting all the clean vocals and then switching into some death voices as well. This diverse style is going to work well within the band.
To top it all off Stu has a great attitude and it an all around cool guy. Stu will be performing with Into Eternity on all future shows, including our upcoming tour with Amorphis in March. Hopefully everyone will come out to support the new line-up. I promise it won't disappoint!
