Highlights of the Symphony X tour

Hello everybody!

We just finished our last show w/ Symphony X and Epica and all we can say is that the tour was killer! Everyone from the bands to the crew were super cool. It truly was one of our best touring experiences we’ve had. We can’t express enough gratitude to the Symphony X guys for taking us out and allowing us to play to such a diverse and progressive crowd. We also were amazed to the extent of fans that came out as a result of our exposure with last years Gigantour and the amazing tour we had with Dream Theater.

There are too many highlights of this tour to fit into one update, but among the ones that stood out the most was hanging with Mike Portnoy in Philly. Mike took the time to come and say hello. Mike is a solid guy and we can’t thank him enough for his tireless support of Into Eternity. Next was Quebec city when we got a chance to hang w/ Jason from Symphony X for the first time. We won’t forget ever as we ended up stumbling into a bar, ordering drinks and pizza… and then realizing we were rocking a gay bar in Quebec…haha. All of Cali was amazing as well. We got a chance to hang w/ our label, party with our Ibanez reps and drink a few cold ones with Ray Alder (Fates Warning, Redemption) as well as Nick from Redemption. It’s been a while since we got to play Texas and we want to thank all the fans that came out and supported us out there. We were really hoping to run into ol’ George Dubbya or Pantera but unfortunately none of them made it, even though they were on the list! The Florida shows were great too with the highlight being St. Petersburg. They were cheering us on before we even hit the stage!

One of the most amazing things to happen though was being able to meet Shannon Hamm and Scott Clendenin of Death and Control Denied. We got a chance to sit down with Shannon Hamm and were captivated by the stories of the last years of Chuck, Death and the inside stories of Control Denied. It truly was a night we will never forget! The very last show was the insanity of West Virginia and Jaxx! The night included silly string, nerf darts and escalated to pounds of hot meat and cheese with healthy amounts of mayo, onstage sword fighting, the mad chugging of Tequila and a Symphony X set with guest vocals of Stuie B!

There are too many stories from this tour to put into one update. Thanks to all the fans and friends that came out to this tour and we’ll see you again after the new album drops!
Thank you to Symphony X, to the crew for being so awesome and treating us not like an opening band, but with respect and friendship.

Keep it Metal!

Tim
